Adrienne Capeless is a master’s level therapist, certified personal trainer, certified nutrition coach, and founder of Talk-Lift-Heal. In her practice, she uses a combined method of talk therapy with strength training to teach her clients the tools they need to feel better, stronger, and more confident.
In this episode, we talk about how Miss Sarah provides therapy to her elementary students. Some of her favorite modalities that we discussed were play therapy such as Feelings Uno and Feelings Jenga, as well as sand-tray therapy which “is her jam.” We also talked about some of the barriers to getting students the help they need and what could be done about it. Finally, we talked about some of Sarah’s experiences with the foster care system, crisis intervention, and coaching soccer and basketball.
Brianna Fernandez is an LA and NY based Actress, Producer, Screen Writer, Voice-over Artist, and Activist. She graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and also has a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Penn State. Currently, she is the Writer/ Producer of the Latin Babbler Show and also is the co-founder of the Ignite The Hearts Foundation. Currently, she is producing the film “They Come In Colors” which is a psychological drama about a young painter, named Ashely, who becomes overwhelmed with anxiety.
